Do I need to know a static site generator?

No. You need Markdown. Docszero writes the config, builds the site and publishes it. If you already have a mkdocs.yml or a zensical.toml in your zip, we read your site name, description, language and navigation out of it so your existing structure survives the move.

A zip of Markdown and images, a single .md file, a Word document, or a PDF, up to 200 MB. Word and PDF are converted at import: two or more top-level headings become a folder of pages, fewer become a single page, and images land beside the page with their links rewritten. After the import it is ordinary Markdown, and you can edit all of it.

Is my site really exportable?

Yes, on every plan including Free. "Export site" gives you the built HTML; "Export source" gives you your Markdown with a generated config that builds with plain Zensical, no Docszero involved. Lock-in is the thing this product exists to avoid.

What happens if a build fails?

Nothing, to your readers. A failed build never touches the live site: the previous build stays published, and the failure is shown to you with the log and a hint. Warnings such as a broken internal link do not fail a build, so a small mistake still publishes.

Can I keep docs private?

On Pro and above you can put a password on a site. Visitors get a login page instead of the docs, the cookie lasts 30 days, and changing the password logs everyone out. Protected pages are never cached by a CDN.

Do you track my readers?

We count page views server-side. There is no cookie, no session, no time-on-page. A visitor is a daily-rotating hash of the address and user agent, the address itself is never stored, and bots are excluded. Free sees the last two days of totals; paid plans see 90 days with top pages, referrers and a CSV export.

Can other people write with me?

On Agency, which includes five seats. Invite editors by email and they work inside your workspace under your plan: they write, publish, build and read analytics. Only the owner can delete a site or change who is allowed to see it. A smaller per-seat Team plan is on the way.

Can I use my own domain?

Not yet. It is included on Pro and above and it is not built, so we say "coming soon" rather than let the checkbox imply otherwise. Every site gets a docszero.com subdomain today.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for, then the account returns to Free. Sites over the new limit are never deleted. You simply cannot create more until you are back under it, and the export button still works.
